About the organization
Macha Works is an international network with separate organisations in different countries. Each organisation has it's own governance structure with a board that support the organisation. Macha Works was launched in 2001 in the Netherlands and in Zambia in 2005.
In the UK Macha Works partners with Computer Aid International (CAI). CAI is an UK registered charity that aims to reduce poverty by providing professionally refurbished computer for re-use in developing countries. CAI has shipped more than 1.000 computers to Macha Works.
Macha Works USA partners with ITEC. ITEC's volunteers are powering missions and not-for-profit organizations worldwide and to actively support local and international disaster relief. ITEC has implemented the underground electricity network at Ubuntu campus in Macha.
The financials of Macha Works Zambia has been approved by our external consultant and are available on request. The last audited fiscal year of the different entities of Macha Works is based on the period April 2010 till March 2011.
