Radio Macha on Air

Radio Macha is back on air. More than one year late, but what makes it still. Media Donor Trust Fund has finally issued the equipment that the radio station desperately needed to get back to transmit.

The new equipment will complement the equipment used by RTV Rijnmond has made available to Radio Macha, after moving to new premises in Rotterdam.

The DJs of Radio Macha, the same thread were arrested and are waiting in line for a radio show to present. In and around Macha is enthusiastically looking forward to this moment. Within a few hours were the deejays communities overloaded with text messages from a distance of 60 km.

Radio Macha is probably the most visible project that Macha Works supports. It offers music, entertainment and information such as hospital and agriculture to the local population who have no other source of information.

End of 2007 came to an abrupt end to Radio Macha by a fire at the Vision Community Centre. This fire was probably caused by short circuit in the radio station. Direct Works Macha has started a project on the Vision Community Center and to rebuild the radio station was the last component that was not yet operational. Many donors and friends of Macha Works have made this project possible, thank you for your support.
