Macha Works publishes at WebSci 2010

Macha Works has published and presented two peer-reviewed papers at WebScience 2010 in Raleigh, USA about our innovative approach to drive rural development
The first paper is about the Macha Works model, our innovative approach to initiate rural development, and the second paper about ePiano, a case of music education via internet in rural Zambia.

Participation within conferences like WebSci 2010 are important for the international expansion of Macha Works to the US and other western countries. We want to expand our international network of innovative people that are interested to understand the value of the internet within rural development.

Web Science is a leading US conference about the impact of the World Wide Web. It is based on the notion that understanding the Web involves not only an analysis of its architecture and applications, but also insight into the people, organizations, policies, and economics that are affected the Web. The conference has an interdisciplinary focus and embraces computer and engineering sciences, sociology, economics, political science, law, management geography and psychology and brings these disciplines together, crossing traditional disciplinary boundaries.
