The Nurse Training School (NTS) in Monze participates in the NTS project to enable ICT supported education at the school. The Zambian government invests substanially in building facilities to grow the number of educated nurses in Zambia. The training of nurses takes 2 or 3 years in Zambia. Currently the majority of the education is done in group lessons. Most of the NTS institutions that we meet in rural communities don’t have enough study materials available and face a structural shortage of qualified teachers. Within the project Macha Works installs a PC with Internet for two students. The internet also connects a community of practice of nursing teachers from various institutes NTS so that they can exchange experiences, work together and share teaching materials. The internet also enbales the schools to share teachers and give lectures in several NTS classes at the same time. Would you like to support the NTS in Monze and subsidise one year ICT supported education?
