Bio-gas for a primary school
The excellent results achieved by primary school children achieve MICS are visible in the vicinity of Macha. In particular the fact that the children of MICS learn English literacy in a period of two years is important to the parents. The final exam of the primary school is done in English. Several elementary schools around Macha would therefore like to participate in the pilot project of implementing an ICT supported curriculum. Most primary schools in rural areas have no access to the national electricity grid. Expansion of the network is very expensive and often more expensive than a local energy solution. Bio-gas is a logical local energy solution because it can generate electricity out of residuals that are availbale in th rural communities. The value of the Internet for an isolated elementary school is enormous, for both the teacher and students. Help us to fuel a computer class and bring ICT to another primary school in rural Zambia.
