The economy within the community of Macha is mainly informal with many small farmers. The farmers have survived for generations maintaining their own farm for their extended family. With maize, other crops, a few cows and a goat, they produce just enough to feed the family. They depend completely on the productivy of the harvest at the end of the rainy season. Investments in their farm are difficult because affordable financial services don’t exist for these farmers. Some peasant women would like to work together to jointly invest in a peanut butter plant to co-produce peanutbutter. This requires the establishment of a cooperative organization that allows for joint investment in equipment. Macha Works likes to help these women. The purchase of an equipment is the first cost for the new peanut butter cooperatives. Would you like to help these ladies to achive their ambition?
