AIDS, Malaria and TB are three major infectious diseases in rural Zambia. The Macha Mission Hospital (MMH) medical research MRT Macha work closely together in the area around the hospital in the fight against these diseases. The combination of clinical research and medical care has shown clear results in Macha. Since 2003, for example, the number of malaria patients by over 90%. To the growing number of patients and are able to absorb new facilities built as an HIV clinic (now more than 3,000 patients), a clinical laboratory and a House Care for Aids patients who are discharged from the hospital and not yet strong enough to independently to the disciplined life with the disease.
