Local hero Minga
Discipline:
ICT training for local people in Minga
Personal:
I was born at Minga Mission Hospital in Petauke, Eastern Province. Am the first born in the family of two, one boy and one girl whose name is Emma. We were both brought up from the village, therefore we know more about village life. I started school in 1996 at Minga Primary School and qualified to go to Petauke Secondary School. Unfortunately, my parents failed to take me at this boarding school due to financial problems. Finally, my father got me a transfer from Petauke boarding to Minga Day Mission Secondary School for Catholics where I did my grade eight and nine. Fortunately, in 2006 I qualified to go to Chizongwe Technical School to do my senior level education. I felt very happy to go to a boarding school like that one as it is popular and the third school at the national level. Unfortunately the following day I received a sad message that my father has died. By the kindness of God, my grandfather got me and took me to school until I completed in 2008. In September, 2009 I was informed that there will be interviews at Minga for Internet program. There was a good number of people who came to attend the interviews. August 2009, I was told to get prepared for the journey to Macha. I really appreciate to the Linknet Organization for the training they offered me. This has added more value to my life.
